Zenith 1940 Tube Console Radio 11s474 1103 Restoration Project

Description

This is an antique Zenith tube console floor radio from 1940. It is complete but needs full restoration. The inner workings are a model 11s474 in an 1103 chassis.
This radio has wonderful features. The console is 43”T x 29”W x 16”D. The chassis is classic with a curved top and bottom design. Most of all of the clear coat is gone. The covering of the speakers are pleated and clothed. The cloth is ripped but more of it is intact than not. All of the face components (dials, buttons, faceplate, and glass) are there. Much of the original writing is still perfectly visible. This radio has 6 different tone settings and features the green Magic Eye.
Inside this radio, the wiring looks like it needs to be redone but all of the components including the speaker are there. This will make for a great restoration project piece.

as the cord plug is broken and wiring is currency unsafe to use.
