ANTIQUE 1930 RARE UNUSUAL 4 KNOBS NATIONAL THRILL BOX RADIO RECEIVER! SW-5?
"
Up for sale is an interesting tube radio receiver from the past. I believe it was made by a National company in 1930 and it is a model SW-5 but with an additional fourth knob on the front panel. This receiver has been just discovered in one of the old houses in New Westminster. I've just dusted it a little bit and that's it. I have not tested it, so I am selling it as is. I believe this receiver could be still in working condition. When I opened the top cover, I've discovered a set of cardboard cards with handwritten stations. I am including those cards with the receiver. They are part of its history. I've also discovered one extra coil that was laying down inside. I've placed it carefully on the back four-pin socket. I am not sure if the tube supposes to go there instead of the coil cylinder, but I've placed it there so it stays firm and safe during transportation. I believe the two free sockets on the backside are designed for the two tubes. You can probably find the replacement tubes. I've also rotated the switches and center knob. They rotate and I do not see any breakages or crack in the knobs or any other parts of this receiver. Please, see the multiple photographs I made to show this interesting receiver better. There are some scratches, paint spots, and a little dent in the metal case on the right side, but the overall condition is quite amazing in my opinion. I have never seen this particular model before but I meet old radios with metal cases that were so rusty. This case is different compared to the other radios because of such great condition and minimum of oxidation. This receiver weighs about 20 lbs. It is about 17" long, 12" wide, and 7 1/2" tall. I can send it anywhere in the world, but the shipping of is for Canadian and USA customers only. Please ask me first for the rate if you live in a different country
