    Description

    Up for auction this week is this neat little table radio made by the Emerson Radio Corporation.  I can't find much information about this model but from my research it appears to be model AC-205, from the 1937 model year.   Wood case in very nice shape.  Some references I have found online appear to indicate that the cabinet was made by Ingraham, which made some beautiful cabinets for Emerson.  This radio was manufactured to receive 2 bands, the AM broadcast band and the Police Band.  These days there is nothing on the police band.  The reception on the AM broadcast band is excellent.   The chassis has been fully restored.   It has been cleaned and lubricated, all tubes have been tested good.   All capacitors have been replaced with their modern equivalents.  This radio would make a nice addition to any collection or to display on its own.  The radio weighs 9 pounds (unpacked).  It measures 12 inches long by 8 inches high by 6 1/2 inches deep.  Buyer pays shipping charges.  Good luck!
