Vintage Garod Model 5D-2 Tube Radio 1947 Tested Works

Description

Vintage Garod tube radio, model 5D-2, from 1947. The radio has been tested and works well, with good reception and sound. Two tone exterior has some wear, I think that the front and rear round buttons that open the front and back panels are Bakelite. Interior panel has some wear and the top tuning button is discolored and mal-formed and might be a replacement. Top leather carrying handle is securely attached to the radio and is in very good condition. I think the AC cord is original but I am not positive. AC cord is in good condition with no cracking or hardening. Original battery connection is in the interior and the wiring for the battery connection is in good condition with no cracking or hardening. Switch on back of radio for battery or electric. Original interior label is on radio. All 4 underside metal feet are on the radio and are in good condition. Radio measures 9" X 7" X 5".
