PLEASE """""READ FULL ENTIRE DESCRIPTION"""" BELOW & VIEW ALL PICTURE BEFORE PLACING A BID ON THIS AMAZING & SUPER COOL ""SCREAMING"" MID CENTURY JETSON AGE DESIGN LOOKING & WORKING RADIO.
Up for your consideration is this Absolutely AMAZING & SPECTACULAR looking Truetone tube bakelite AM radio in great working condition. This model is Nick Named the "BOOMERANG" because of it Unique style need I say anymore:>) The model number on this SUPER COOL looking radio is D2018 & I believe it was produced in the 1950'S era. This was an extremely popular radio when it was introduced in 1950's & still is by today's standards. The cabinet on this AMAZING radio is all original & made of bakelite or think plastic & in Original Factory painted Ivory in color.  There are no cracks in the cabinet Only a Few FLEE BITE paint chips. There is a couple of small discoloration spots in the paint on the top back rear edge. The cabinet has been cleaned & polished which sill retains it's original sheen or shine & that shine is now an extremely nice shine that keeps going & going & going like the energizer bunny.
This is a nice & SUPER COOL looking radio that just POPS OUT AT YOU & ""SCREAMS"" of MODERNISM  to say the least.  I have taken many pictures & all pictures can be supersized so you may get a good view at this SUPER COOL AMAZING looking & working radio.
The Half Moon Glass AM dial scale is Spectacular looking to say the least & is in good condition with no cracks, Great Graphics & a nice Bright Working Dial Light. The speaker grill cloth is a nice replacement that accents the cabinet nicely & the grill design itself is spectacular which gives this radio the BOOM effect:>).  The 2 ivory plastic control knobs are original
& in great looking & working condition. There back panel is in great condition that holds on tight & secure & the antenna system that is mounted onto the back panel is in good condition.
The chassis is in good condition & it is a 6-tube unit with 2-controls & both controls have been lubricated & are in good working condition. The controls are from left to right #1-ON/OFF/VOL & #2-TUNING. There is a black switch & an RCA jack on the lower back of the chassis so you can plugin a record player phonograph or to play other devices?
The chassis has had all new electrolytic capacitor/filters installed & wax/paper capacitors were replaced as needed. The electric cord is in great condition. This radio has been restored to great working condition. AS I STATED THIS RADIO IS IN GREAT WORKING CONDITION BUT WITH ALL VINTAGE ELECTRONICS IT IS BEING SOLD IN AS IS CONDITION with no Warranty.
When this AMAZING & SPECTACULAR looking Truetone is powered up, it pulls in AM stations all around that beautiful dial & plays them clean & clear with Plenty of volume in my area..
This BOOMERANG radio would make an EXCELLENT addition to your radio collection or as a stand alone radio as it's power & beauty will surely be the talk of the room by all whom enter.

sized of this SUPER COOL GEM is 15-1/2" long, 8" wide & 8-1/2" high.
This is a vintage radio & must be handled & cared for & treated in this manor & not like a modern day boombox. Tube radio technology "unlike modern day solid state radios" can have interference/noise in the sound quality, caused by kitchen appliances, computer monitors, flat screen TV'S, florescent lights, washing machines, high power wires above your home, etc... So where you position/place this radio in your home can make a huge difference & the direction/position it is set in. A lot of tube radios are directional meaning you "may" have to turn the radio one way or the other to receive the best reception. Tube radios take 30 to 45 seconds "for tubes" to warm up before they will start playing.
