The speakers are known to be the best sound producing speakers in the world. An orchestra director once said of recording he later listened to through the Klipsch speakers, the clarity, presence and separation, was so incredible, he could actually hear each and every instrument playing. They are walnut speakers that sit in the corner of the room. The base driver is the bottom of the speaker unit. It utilizes the walls on either side of the speaker to enhance the base sound. I have backs in my speakers so they can be moved out away from the wall without losing base presence. The upper section holds the mid range and treble speakers. The speakers are driven by Klipsch type AA crossover. You have to hear them to believe.
