    Old Violin Bow

    This bow was made around the turn of the XX century and has the rarely seen stamp A. RAU. The details show the influence of the Weichold school.
    In my opinion, pernambuco wood octagonal stick, head with ivory tip, silver-nickel mounted with a new hair. Ebony frog silver-nickel fitted and ebony adjuster with two silver rings inlaid with MOP dots.
    Length: around 29.2 inches or 74.1cm.
    Stick: around 28.5 inches or 72.5cm.
    Weight: around 58.4gr
    No any visible cracks or repair.
    I am not a violin & bow expert and I am just selling these items as described. All bows and violins come from a private collection – the original owner has been collecting the instruments for around 40 years.
