    Description

For your consideration is a RARE Antique Historic Early version John M.A. Stroh Violin England. A wonderful piece of acoustical violin recording history as described by the Smithsonian National Museum of American History.
In the turn of the century the patented Stroh violin technology was used during the first acoustical audio recording sessions to amplify and focus the violin sound in a specific direction while recording early records. This was very helpful as a normal violin was just not loud enough.
In fantastic playing condition with beautiful patina as seen in the photos. This violin bares the aluminum adjustable horn with listening horn.
Condition is very nice no structural issues. The neck is straight with no cracks. The reproducer sound box has no cracks and sounds loud and clear. The finish is original with a beautiful patina showing it’s age. The aluminum horns have expected dings and bends with no structural issues. The aluminum shoulder support has hand written markings as seen in photos.
This is an opportunity to acquire an important piece of violin history. These original Stroh violins are difficult to come by in this condition and make a good investment. A wonderful addition to any antique music collection. Feel free to ask any questions. Thank you!
Does not include a bow or case. Will be packed extra extra careful and shipped UPS insured.
