    Description

    Fine antique full size 4/4 German  violin . Authentic signed Hopf maker marks at base of neck and inside back. Neck mark is not heavily inked. Measuring 23 1/4 " long. Back measures 14 ". Real perfling inlay. Two piece back with vivid  thin tiger flame grain.  . Two piece top . Multiple repaired cracks but none over sound post.Left F hole missing a corner piece. Well carved scroll. Crack to neck does not look adequately repaired. Mark inside back of a 1926 repair in Agawam MA. All the repair work should probably be redone but is presently playable.
