    Description

    The 1771 Skilling coins were made at three different mints from 1771 to 1786.  Over 50 million coins were produced.  There are over 900 varieties of the coins that could be collected.  Only about 3% of the coins were made at the Kongsberg mint in Norway.  These coins are now unusual to find, and sell for 0 to as much as 00 each.  A total of 87 different die varieties are known.
    This book is a full color spiral bound catalog of the various die varieties. A total of 188 pages of information are included.  Each variety is illustrated with descriptions of how identify them. Also included are a historical description of the issue, a grading guide, die chain descriptions, and many other details of these lesser known issues.
